Hey guys!!!

Thanks again for having Axel today to get him cleaned up before we leave on Holidays!!! (my stepson & nephew will be looking after him while we are in europe….for three weeks….and at least I won’t have to worry about them not brushing him…as I asked Shane to trim him down….so not to have any issues on our return!!!) He looks absolutely MARVELLOUS…..as only Shane can accomplish!!!!

You guys never let me down…..and I SO VERY much appreciate it….each and every time I bring my HUGE “Lumberjack” Axel in!!!

I know he’s not a “small delicate dog” by ANY means…..but he loves going to the Spaw…..even though he’s like a “Moose in a China Shop”…..and can’t fit in to any of the Spaw jackets…..but he loves you both so much…..and that’s why we call him the “Lumberjack”!!!

Axel sends smooches and BIG waggy tails for the treats that Shane sent us home with!!!

And thank Francessca for picking him up at work for me this morning……she kinda looked a bit apprehensive when she first saw him…..well….heck….who wouldn’t……115lbs of Golden Doodle YIKES!!!! Well…..he got in and “fit” in her car no problem (can’t say the same for our Smart Car……he only fits in our SUV….hehe!). Seriously, she was wonderful…..and loved the Lumberjack. Having her pick him up was a huge help for me…..so thank you & Francessa for that!!! I saw her when I picked Axel up…..and she was so sweet to say she would do it again anytime…..thank her again for us!!!

This place is beyond amazing!! I have never written an online review but I really feel I need to for A Touch of Love. I am not from Canada so I met a woman in the park and asked her where her dog had got groomed as I thought it had a lovely coat. She recommended this place to me and I went with my puppy to make an appt for her first haircut! My puppy is very friendly but she doesn’t like to be poked at so she really doesn’t like the vets and I wanted to find a groomer that she would be relatively comfortable with.

Comfortable was a complete understatement. She was in doggy heaven!! I have only met Shane but I knew straight away that Holly loved him and I was so excited about her getting groomed! I only picked her up today and she was having a great time when I called to collect her! She looked and smelled amazing! I’m going to bring her now once a month for a trim (mainly because it’s a great environment for de-stressing your pet and giving it some fun and time to socialize in a supervised environment). She spent the day in their jacuzzi bath, getting a blow dry, a massage, getting hundreds of kisses and treats and basically spoiled rotten! I just wish they would do humans! lol

Wow what a product!!

Recently my granddaughter Rayshelle  brought over a product Paw Protector for my three cats .

She explained that the product is to protect their pads. My 3 cats are outdoor/indoor so I have noticed their pads have become quite rough.

So while I was applying the Paw Protector I noticed the difference it was doing on my hands. Now this Paw Protector healed and moisturized the pads of the cats paws and also I noticed it healed my rough hands.

I then applied to my own feet and I was impressed how it worked so well . I have tried several products on the market for this problem and by far your Paw Protector as given the best results.

May I add it does not leave any form of residue on my carpets or floors.  I highly recommend this Paw Protector for pets and the owners!

Dear Shane,

Just to let you know my 14 year old Golden Retriever pet, Lima is doing very well since I started to give her daily A Touch of Love liquid Glucosmaine 2 years ago.
Her Health was not very good at the time, and she was hardly walking because of arthritis. I was sad to see her suffering so much. 
Now we both enjoy our 5 kilometers walking in the country every day without any problem, and her mood is much better!

Dear Shane and Carl:   I wanted to say thank you for the care that you gave to our two shih tzus, Chandler and Winston, while we lived in Gravenhurst and Bala.  We lost Winston this summer to oral cancer, and after looking at pictures of him in our home in Gravenhurst, I felt it appropriate to express appreciation for your care.  We have pictures of a sweet, well groomed little soul, because of your talented ‘massages.’  If we were closer to Toronto, we would use your services for Chandler.  Any time you drift our way, we would love to see you.

Carl, I just wanted to say thank you for all of your time and support with looking after our puppies.  Bailey and Chelsea look great…I can’t believe the difference. Hi Carl,

It’s Linda.

I did the greasy cat in exfoliating oatmeal shampoo. The grease came out and the cat looks great, nice shiny coat with no trace of greasiness.

I also had to do it’s head, the grease extended from the head to the tip of the tail. This seemed to be okay, I used some eye care that I obtain from my vet for the cat’s eyes. I may use the exfoliating oatmeal shampoo exclusively for cats, this is the second one which looks 200% better than when it came in.

Shane and Carl     First off I would like to sincerely thank you both for allowing me to help out at your booth for the PetFunFest.  I had a great time with some wonderful people and pets!

I would also like to thank you both for your generosity and compassion towards rescue animals.

Now for the supplies I left with from your “awesome” salon I must say they are all wonderful.  The shampoo (oatmeal w/beads) I used on one of my foster dogs who is not all that well, lots of allergies, kidney problems etc. and wow did she smell good!!  Not to mention the whole room smelled good too!  Her itching subsided and most importantly she felt more comfortable.  Moving on to the “Lavender scent” well my …”I’m a Cdn. Champion Show Dog and I Dont like Baths”     smelled really nice after I applied the cologne.  LOL

I also had the opportunity to use the “spot remover” (although I wish I hadn’t) lol  but that too worked miraculously.  I have used all kinds of different things for that purpose and by far this has worked the BEST!

Now for the CD.  I finally remembered to put it in my car and wow, it too is a must have for ALL dog owners/lovers.  It is just beautiful!!

I have enclosed pictures of only two of my “hounds”.  Of course the one who doesn’t like baths (Ricky) and his mother (Jada). She’s the one all “pimped out”.  lol

Hi Carl,

The jacket has arrived, the packets have been heated and the jury is in.

To say that the jacket is a rousing success would be an understatement.  It does just exactly what I’d hoped it would do.  The first time we put it on Finnegan, he seemed momentarily uncomfortable and then leaned back and went totally limp.  He occasionally sleeps with his eyes open and chose that moment to slip in to such a slumber.  We thought we’d lost him.  We panicked and woke him up.

We’re hoping to get him in to see his Chiropractor next week.  He’s already expressed an interest in seeing the jacket and we’re anxious to show it off.

I just wanted to give you guys an update post grooming appointment of Chica on Saturday. We are very happy that you guys took the time to make our little baby comfortable who is normally terrified of going for grooming appointments.

She was relaxed and happy at the Spa and also when she got back home , she was ecstatic and played around the whole day. She normally takes 2 days to recover after her grooming sessions as tends to just sleep. The time and effort that your team puts in to understand this little creature and also the parents is just very professional and most importantly very caring.

By the way the bed that we got from you with the gel packs is a total hit as she only sleeps in that all day and now if we call her , she refuses to get off the bed. I just wanted to say thank you from wife and myself for giving her such a great time and looking after her.

I am so pleased with her professionalism; obvious love of animals, and her patience. I have two beautiful dogs, both of which received the full grooming package with Elsa. I was just thrilled after picking them up earlier today. They both look absolutely gorgeous, and had huge smiles on their faces. I just wanted to let you know how pleased I am with Eddie’s haircut. I’m always a little weary as to how it’s going to turn out but he looks great! What I love most about your Spaw is that it’s a cage-free environment that both pet and parent can appreciate. I can drop him off in the morning for the day and know that he’s being taken care of instead of put in a cage until he gets groomed.

I just wanted to let you know that Lardy Lovecat is a very happy customer of A Touch Of Love Pet Spaw.  As he has gotten older and developed arthritis in his shoulders, his interest in grooming has declined.  Matting around his throat caused me to realize that he needed professional grooming.  His usual response to the cat carrier and ‘professional office’ is to howl and pant.  However, when I came to get him, he was happily purring in his carrier, fussed over by one of your assistants.  Not only was he clean, sheared, and matt-free, he carried on purring all the way home!

I would also like to thank you for the recommendation for the glucosamine.  I was sceptical about him drinking it, mixed with his water, but he loves it and it seems to have eased his stiffness. Thanks Shane!

Recently we took our 12plus year old Lhasa Apso, Tickles, to be groomed at the Markham location of “A Touch of Love”.  Tickles is NOT keen on the grooming process but she came home with a bounce in her step, a “smile” on her face and beautifully groomed.  The “Spaw” treatments and no crates used were very beneficial to our “old girl”.  We have highly recommended Elsa and her staff for their kindness to our pet and their grooming expertise.

Dear Carl & Shane,

My doggie Nanoo came in a couple of weeks ago and got groomed. I got my husband to pick him up and drop him back at home so I didn’t get to see him till the evening. Although this is belated I just wanted to thank you so much for such a wonderful job that you did (Shane) and the professionalism and courtesy that you showed (Carl). It was so refreshing (and I wasn’t the one that got to go to the Spaw all day!). Thank you also for being accommodating on such short notice as we had to go to a funeral unexpectedly that day and needed Nanoo done sooner than we had originally thought. Usually Nanoo is irritable after being groomed elsewhere and so I was so relieved to come home to a calm and amazingly good spelling dog at the end of the day. We have tried almost all the dog groomers in the Beach area and you blew them all out of the water (no pun intended)! We will be back! See you soon!
