Hello Mimi,
My friend, I'm sorry and saddened for the loss of your pet Jesse.
Unless someone experiences what you have gone through and walked in those shoes they may not fully understand. I'm proud of you for rescuing Jesse. Although the time might have been short with her, you obviously gave her a wonderful loving environment for her time spent on earth with such of a loving soul as you. I've began investigating some sites to assist you however I was unable to copy the information but I have attached some of the links with regards to information for Annie.
site one: http://www.irishveterinaryjournal.com/Links/PDFs/CE-Small/CESA_August_2008.pdf
site two: http://www.3.interscience.wiley.com/journal/118814861/abstract?CRETRY-1&SRETRY=0
site three: http://vet.sagepub.com/content/43/3/241.full?related-urls=yes&legid=spvet;43/3/241

We would be honored to place a picture and memorial on our grievance site for our Jesse if you would be so kind to send a picture to us.

The love and caring that you are providing for Annie is also commendable and stay strong and continue to offer her all the love that you have currently doing.
There are so many holistic therapies that are offered to continuously keep her immune system strong to keep her comfortable during her illness.
We offer a liquid Multi-Vitamin for pets that you may consider to keep her immune system stronger if you would so consider this product which may be purchased on our on line store. It has been approved by Health Canada and is manufactured from a pharmaceutical laboratory.

I also wish to share with you to visit our University of Guelph website as they have created a section of the University towards canine cancer prevention and research.

I sincerely wish you the best of luck with Annie, and please keep us updated with her care.

Thank you for sharing your information, and we look forward to others to help us out with this increase in Canine and Feline increase in Cancer. Our environment of toxins have increased and I believe our pets are being affected by all the pollutants both environmentally that has been caused by mankind out of selfish reasons, and why this world is in the trouble that it is.

I ask anyone reading Mimi's feedback to us to help her and us if they are aware of any further information to help us all out with this traumatizing and heartbreaking experience that Mimi and others are enduring.

Sincerely,
Your Friend,
Carl Milson

As I watched the video of Pet Cancer, my thoughts turned to my own dog, a 12 year old Smooth Fox Terrier, Annie. (She is a rescue) Two years ago she was diagnosed with Indolent Lymphoma. She went through the first round of chemo and prendisone fine. The second wasn't so great. So..I decided to just leave her alone and let nature take its course. Now, two years later, she's just had surgery to remove a huge tumor on her neck, a small tumor on her tummy, and a wart like tumor on her foot. When the path report came this week, her lymphoma is stage 1, the tummy was mass cell stage 2, and the foot is generally begnin. The margins taken were sufficient, however, prognosis is poor regarding the lymphoma. I still have decided to refuse treatment for her. Now, some may think this is not the right choice, BUT, she has defied all odds so far. Her vet said she is the only dog she has treated for lymphoma that has lived this long. This little girl has been a medical miracle for me. She plays, has a good appetite, and is as spunky as ever. Whether she has one day, one week, one month, or 3 years, I want them to be quality time....not quantity. (At the time she was diagnosed I had just adopted a little Springer, Jesse. She was diagnosed with mass cell about a month later. Unfortunately she wasn't as lucky, her time with me was only 9 months, but they were the best. Annie still misses her sister.)

Convenience devocalization is a procedure better known as "debarking". Through a risky surgery, the volume of a dog's bark or a cat's meow is rduced by cutting off tissue from their vocal chords. Owners who choose to subject their pets to this terrible procedure are putting the health and safety of their animals at risk rather than providing proper training or care.
In many states, theis process has been rightfully outlawed, but is still legal in Massachusetts. A Bill is before their STate House of Representatives that would put an end to this practice. Send a message to lawmakers in Massachusetts urging them to end convenience animal devocalization in their state.

Hi Nadia,

Have you tried any structured training? I can suggest a fantastic trainer who not only trains your dog, but more importantly trains you as the owner. I'm certain he could help Luna become less nervous too.

His name is Eric Bernstein
Good luck!
