Pet owners looking for a natural alternative for relieving acute or chronic pain and disease in their pet will LOVE our Therapeutic Spaw Jacket, manufactured in Canada. Not only is this revolutionary product great for arthritic and convalescent pets, veterinarians recognize and recommend the Therapeutic Spaw Jacket as an effective post-op rehabilitation therapy for companion animals suffering from musculoskeletal or spinal injuries.
Healthy pets can also reap tremendous benefits! Warm up the Therapeutic Spaw Jacket on those chilly nights or cool it down on those hot summer days to prevent overheating and dehydration.
The innovative design of the jacket utilizes the benefits of heat and cold therapy. Specially formulated gel packs are inserted in the jacket at the crucial target areas of the spine, hips, shoulders and neck.
When heat is applied to the selected areas of the body, the blood flow to that area is increased, improving the flow of nutrients and oxygen to sore stiff muscles, helping heal the damaged tissue. Consequently, there is a decrease in pain and stiffness and an increase in flexibility and an overall feeling of comfort. A Touch of Love Therapeutic Spaw Jacket will also prove to be useful for warming up the muscles of athletic and hard working dogs, increasing flexibility and decreasing injuries!
The gel packs can also be used for cold therapy! When cold is applied the circulation to the underlying tissue is decreased, easing inflammation, muscle spasms, and pain.
Alternating between heat and cold therapy can assist, accelerate and enhance the healing of damaged tissues and the outcome following musculoskeletal or spinal compromise. Recommended by veterinarians, the Therapeutic Spaw Jacket is ideal to warm and comfort your pet post surgery.
The rule of thumb for heat and cold therapy is 20 minutes on and 20 minutes off. Please read the instructions on the heating and cooling of our gel packs. By adhering to prescribed times you will ensure proper usage and ultimate comfort for your loved one.
