A Day At The Spaw

We begin every grooming experience with a Full Therapeutic Touch Body Massage.
This is not only to relax your pet, but to increase circulation to the tissues. Most of us forget that there is oxygen within our blood. By increasing the blood flow you are also increasing the oxygen flow to the tissues.  If any organ or tissue does not have circulation it will  deteriorate and die. Increasing the oxygen and blood flow to those tissues help speed healing. Every day your pet is exposed to harmful toxins both environmentally and by ingestion. Through our waste system we as humans and pets detoxify our selves through this system. However, toxin deposits are created within the tissues and with massaging the pet it will release the toxins from the tissues and help speed the healing of the body. Their nails are manicured, their pads are trimmed to alleviate excess dirt coming into your home or the hair between the pads becoming knotted or congested with fur/hair that will become uncomfortable for your pet to walk on. Their pads are their shoes! Once the pads have become congested with hair or knots it’s like you buying a pair of shoes too tight for yourself. This is a necessary process and hygiene and sanitation for your pet and your home. We provide a thorough ear cleaning and also plucking of the ears for certain breeds.  We thoroughly cleanse the ears with medicated ear cleaner and ear powder for desensitizing the ear for those pets requiring an ear plucking. The anal gland is also drained upon request.  In every area of our Spaw there is tranquil music playing. There is no vocals just soothing music to add to the ambiance with the Natural Essential Oils that are burning in each area of our Spaw. Your pet prior to the bath is draped with a warm Towel treated with the essential oil of Lavender known and clinically tested to be proven as a natural relaxant. Your pet will receive an invigorating hydro-massage during their bathing treatment. Their skin will be exfoliated with our first in the world Exfoliating Colloidial Conditioning Oatmeal Shampoo with Anti-oxidants, Essential Oils, Herbs, and Vitamins. This will not only reduce house hold allergies from Pet Dander but will also detoxify and re-nourish and feed that largest organ of their body called skin. Feeding the skin externally will not only make for a healthier organ but their coat/fur/hair is an extension of the skin which will become healthier, softer to the touch, but shiny with nutrients.  All pets are treated with our own brand of A Touch of Love® brand products. If Exfoliation is not required due to sensitivity than we will use any of our other Professional Spaw Treatments such as our Colloidal  Oatmeal Conditioning Shampoo with Aloe Vera and Vanilla Extract, or our Tea Tree Oil Conditioning Shampoo with Aloe Vera or our Natural Deodorizing Shampoo with Lavender, Germanium and Aloe Vera Shampoo. For those pets with such sensitive skin we will use pure and 100% Natural Glycerin Moisturizing Cleansing bars. All of our products are filled Exotic and indulgent mixture of nutrient-rich essential oils, herbs and vitamins that aid in healing, soothing, hydrating and relieving any dry or potentially itchy skin.

Relaxation is the Heart of our Spaw Experience! We never nor have in the existence of our business in 27 years used cages. Your pet will not be caged in any way or caged dried. Before proceeding to the drying area, pets are wrapped in a warm Spaw Robe and are encouraged to lounge on one of our Therapeutic Spaw Beds.

All pets that visit us are served all-natural treats and A Touch of Love® Natural Spring Water is offered in all areas of our Day Spaw. Strolls outside to relieve themselves are also encouraged throughout the day.After being personally dried, your pet will receive a full style or clip as per the request of the parent. Sorry Pets! Sometimes your parents think you need to look a certain way! We speak soothingly as we style with constant praises to encourage your pet and use the most favorite words as I Love you, calling out their name constantly and building their self-esteem by telling them how beautiful they look.

After your pet has been completely groomed and styled, they are treated to A Touch of Love®’s Paw Protector Treatment is tenderly massaged into your pet’s delicate pads to soothe, moisturize and protect. And don’t worry – we are careful not to tickle those sensitive little paws! This paw balm is filled with Shay butter, Essential Oils, Herbs and Vitamins to re-nourish those tired pads.

Once complete, your loved one is delicately misted with one of our exclusive fragrances. With the scents of Lavender, Spring Rain, Baby Powder or Sandalwood to choose from, we have a scent for you! From Romance to Paw Stomping occasions….A Touch of Love® has a fragrance to match!!!
